About Me and My Blog

I am using this blog so you can see into my studio practices. I started primarily as a slip-caster. I have recently added hand-building and wheel-throwing to my techniques along with a general use of molds (press and slumping). I fire in electric kilns at cone 04 to cone 6 oxidation. I will be updating my blog weekly with my techniques, sculptures (in progress and/or finished), functional works (in progress and/or finished), shows I am in (with links), or other things happening in my studio. After receiving my BFA from SIUC and MFA from ISU I am continuing my career and trying to keep lines of communication open and create new ones through this blog.

Kind of a Big Deal and Much Much More!

SO TOTALLY WICKED!!!

I ran my clay through a cone six firing(overfired) and the results are amazing! It did slump but I can fix that! No cracks and I do not feel like it is going to crumble in my hands!
